By the way, did you know that 8-9 out of every ten students and working class people love to travel but only 3-4 people travel domestically and 1-2 actually go for international trips? Do you know the main reason why people don’t travel?
Their Parents! They don’t allow their kids to travel… Just kidding!
According to you, what could be the reason?
The ultimate truth is they ‘think’ they don’t have enough money to travel. Time is another constraint but that can be easily managed if you plan your trip well in advance.
By the way dude, even money can be managed if you take a loan from a bank and don’t return?. But we want to go the ethical way and should not be making money this way, right?
So, Mangesh, then tell me how to travel around the world for less. I am a student/not making money /working on minimum wages, but there is a traveller hiding inside my heart?
Hmmm, then here are some travel tips which you can use for traveling, find cheap flights, hostel and EAT FOR FREE and even make money while travelling.
So, get a cup of coffee/tea and read on.
First things first, plan your trip in advance…really well in advance. That’s the key. Planning your trip six months in advance can save up to 60% of your travel cost. Plan your study/work commitments so that you get enough holidays. Also, decide which places you want to go and visit. For that, read this travel guide.
Tip 1: Keep travel your first priority!
Correction, if you are married, keep your wife as your first priority or you won’t dare to travel again, trust me!
But on a serious note, keep travel your first priority while planning your expenses or you will never have enough money to travel. Refrain from expensive dinner, parties, electronic gadgets as expensive food and drinks anyways would get flushed away the next day and big gadget brands would anyways launch new versions six months down the line. Just by refraining one cup of a coffee a day for six months can fetch you approximately £500, pretty cool right?
Alright, now you have some money to travel which you saved from your pocket money or by saying no to coffee. But, now lets focus on how to travel cheap, stay and eat for less, make money while traveling? Be prepared to travel in low-fare economy class, stay in hostels or in sharing accommodation and give some of your time to work while you are travelling.

Tip 5 – Check all top booking sites: Many a times you get better deals on various flight booking sites. Before pulling the card from your wallet, try searching for your destination on top booking sites. Recently I was planning a trip to India and I searched the tickets on skyscanner.com and then did a quick search on makemytrip.com. I got the same flight approx. £45 cheaper on skyscanner.com. Why not save some cash just by putting 10 mins extra on your flight search?

Tip 7 – Low cost stay in BnBs: I did mention before, keep your focus on travel and not on stay. Hotels these days could be costly, so why not stay in low cost BnB? Tip 12 – Take a night slow train – For intercity transport, if your next destination is 6-7 hours away, take a night sleeper coach train where you can save on your travel time and cost of one night hotel stay.
